Assalamu'alaikum,
Nak ucapkan Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maf Zahir Batin kepada semua ahli keluarga, umi, abah, mak, ayah, adik-adik, abang, kakak, sahabat-sahabat esp ex-housemates (missing yous!!!): Syeza, Wan, Anne, Kema, Zulie, Anum and Rosie, dan yang melawat fotopages ni. Alhamdulillah ini tahun pertama beraya bersama suami. Semoga Allah ampunkan dosa-dosa kita terdahulu. Paddy (Patrick Lowry) tied a knot with our lovely, intelligent, charming housemate, Rosalie Vera Douglas (now Rosalie Vera Lowry) on a rainy day, 28 June 2007. Paddy and Rosie's relationship started in 2003, experienced a break-up once, and then on again after having a good thought on how miserable their lives were without each other (betul ke ni Rosie?). From then on, their relationship went stronger and stronger until the historical moment when Paddy called Rosie's dad in Msia (2006) asking his permission to marry Rosie (aaawww...). Rosie, despite her hectic life as a final year medical student, went all out to plan the wedding, resulting on what you see from these pictures. So Rosie, if u ever encountered this fotopage, I wish u all the best for your new beginning, as a doctor and a wife.

"Acik Olin..Zayed nak balik dah..."

Assalamu'alaikum...lama menyepi. Minggu lepas minggu terakhir Kamarul, Kak Nani dan Zayed di bumi Belfast. Menyahut seruan tanahair. Kak Nani ialah senior saya di sekolah dulu. Tak sangka berjumpa di Belfast. Walaupun Kak Nani ni nampak pemalu, tapi beliau banyak menyumbang kepada komuniti muslimat Belfast melalui aktiviti-aktiviti Helwa. Alhamdulillah seingga sekarang generasi-generasi baru menyambung pula usaha Kak Nani dan senior-senior sebelumnya untuk mewujudkan biah solehah buat kami di perantauan. Selamat berjuang di tanahair. Semoga Allah pertemukan kita lagi. Amin.

Graduation Day 06- Congratulations!!

Our house hosted the graduates and their family yesterday. Seriously it was like 'raya daya' or some sort of 'wedding day' and we helped prepare them for the ceremony. Apparently the robe was a bit tricky to wear. We tried hard to pin here and there to make it stay very nicely. At around 10.30 all the 'kakaks' went out for photography session.
In the mean time, we prepared lunch for them. Their tummies will surely rumbling cuz the after graduation garden party will only serve tea, coffee and strawberries and cream, which obviously won't satisfy the hunger. Kak Faza's and Kak Fid's family, along with Kak Fizah's '"fionsay", Najib were also there.
At 3.30 pm, we headed to the university lawn to 'menyebuk2'. We took a few photographs and after the session, I went to Botanic Garden with Kema to sniffle the scents of roses.
Kak Azli promised to have some treat for us. Only med sttudents were eligible for that offer haha. The others needed to pay themselves. And there u go, Starbuck's Banana and Caramel Cream for the lovely evening. Thank u Kak Azli.
Wan and Anne went back to Msia for summer holidays that day. I cant wait for my turn to come.

Two days break from the mind-troubling exam wasn't enough. Nevertheless, we shared it our own way by having a peace of mind in the park. Today was Anum's birthday...but we celebrated it for two-Wan should come along since we've 'neglected' her birtday due to the exam. Dogs were everywhere and some had to remain in a stuporous position each time hearing the bells ringing (hehe). Thank Allah Rosie was there, and those dogs were quite well-trained too.
Looks like life had returned. Those dead trees are growing tiny leaves..and nothing can change that but Him. MasyaAllah..

Family Day, BBQ and Kak Ton's Wida'

It was a cold but fine day. Despite the stresses and hassles for the upcoming exam, we managed to fulfil the invitation. (Who wants to miss makan2 session anyway?) Alhamdulillah, again, we have some 'freshly-baked' Drs around now. You guys are great!
On the sad side though, Kak Ton and family are leaving for good next week. Their presence in Belfast had been so meaningful. The kids are adorable. To Kak Ton, Abg Talib, Aiman, Farah, Asyraf, Aluz and Hannan, we'll pray for you insyaAllah. Till we meet again, kalau bukan di bumi ini, akhirat nanti ketemu lagi insyaAllah...
